MS
Short for Multi-Strike.
Multi-Denomination
A slot or video poker machine that offers plays at more then one denomination. Most, but not all, video poker machines are multi-denomination and pay tables often depend on the denomination chosen.
Multi-Game
A slot or video poker machine that offers different games (and not just different pay tables for the same game).
Multi-Line
Referring to a video poker machine that allows gamblers to play one or more lines (equivalently, hands or plays) simultaneously. Multi-Line machines always deal a single video poker hand. The draw, however, can be from 1 to 100 hands, depending on the machine.

Multi-Strike
International Game Technology (IGT) Video poker game developed by Leading Edge Design, in which there are four levels of play, each level worth twice as much as the last. Players must win the preceding level to advance to the next. Max coins for the game is four times the max coins for single level play. Max-EV strategy depends on the level. In general, the return for Multi-Strike is at least as good as the base game it is based on. The variance of Multi-Strike, however, is always greater then the base game.
Nada
nothing or a non-winning video poker hand. In most video poker games, the most likely result for any single hand is nada.
National Indian Gaming Commission
The United States regulatory agency responsible for overseeing Indian gaming.
Natural
A winning hand without a wild card in a poker game that uses wild cards, such as Deuces Wild. In some wild card games, such as Deuces Wild, a Natural Royal Flush pays significantly more then a Royal Flush with at least one Natural (in this case one or more deuces)

Negative expectation game
A game in which the return (expectation) is less then 100%. Mathematically, if the return is expressed as a fraction, the game has a negative expectation if EV - 1 < 0.

OEJ
Common abbreviation for "One Eyed Jacks" video poker game. See One Eyed Jacks paytable.
One Eyed Jacks
Video poker game. See One Eyed Jacks paytable.
Over-hold
The situation that occurs when the actual game hold is greater the amount a player would lose given perfect play (Max-EV strategy). Most-- if not all-- casino games Over-hold as most players do not play perfectly nor follow a max EV strategy. For many new video poker games the Over-hold is significant as the optimal strategy is difficult to master, often non-intuitive, and differs significantly from older games.
P
Short for Pair.
Pair
Two cards of the same rank in a hand. In video poker, a Pair can be a High Pair, a Low Pair or, if the game has no Pair payout, neither.

Pat
meaning that the dealt hand will be held in entirety and no cards will be discarded on the draw. In some games, such as PKM, it is not possible to have a Pat hand. Supposedly, some machines lock up for a dealt (Pat) Royal Flush so that the player will not be able to make a mistake.
