New ownership has gotten rid of all 10/7 and 9/6 VP machines in the eastern half of the casino. Only a couple of 9/6 TDB and DDB banks left near sports book. Would not recommended for serious VP players anymore. UG
short trip to Vegas, play quarters, felt palms had the most play but still walked away a bit poorer. played cosmo, downtown grand, golden nugget and d. felt next good play at golden nugget. liked cosmo they have a good free play program ask at players service.
Played several hours at the Palms on a 25 cent 3-play 9/6 JoB. It was my first visit, and I easily and quickly gained enough points for a free buffet, which was as good as most. The machines I played on were in good repair--all the lights worked, no buttons stuck--and was comfortable. There is an abundance of good machines, though I didn't try any of the 100%+ machines, which don't earn as many points and aren't eligible for promotions (though I'm not sure what the implications are). I really enjoyed the Palms and highly recommend it to video poker players.
