I have been a long time (25 years) player at the Ojibwa Casino in Baraga Michigan. Baraga was the FIRST native casino in the USA, Started by Fred Dakota a tribal member in 1983. The current casino is very old , could use new air handlers and air conditioning. The gaming is pretty solid. I have gambled in probably 50 other casinos here in the U.S. and abroad. Casinos are built to make money so keeping that in mind Baraga does a decent job of giving back to players. I am not a comps user so I cannot speak on that but I have won a considerable sum playing video poker and dollar slots. I do not play the 1 cent video game type machines. There is a plan to build a brand new Casino as they should. I rate Baraga a 3.9 out of 5 for gaming. Staff is friendly and the drinks affordable. RJAY
Good value for medium limit players. The ACES and Eights at 50 cent level 100%+ payback and the Bonus Poker 25 cent with progressive on royals, str. flush, 4 aces and bonus 4 of kind are best bets. Combined with good slot club (cash back plus meal and room comps) make this one of the best values on the strip. Dining choices are limited but the steak house and pizza shop are above average. Rooms are so so. Still offers FREE parking. mconn
They have lowered their payout schedule on 25 cent video poker to a ridiculous level. warkin1
I believe this is the best overall casino anywhere. I have frequented just about every casino in Las Vegas and Henderson (as well as Reno and Laughlin) and this casino has nicest atmosphere, in my opinion. Drink service is excellent. There is a wide array of machines with excellent payables throughout the casino. The service staff at the restaurants are very attentive, in my experience. This casino is very clean and upscale. This is one of the furthest casinos in Vegas from my home (local) but it is well worth the trip for the casino experience. I have not stayed in the hotel so I can not make a comment about that experience. lcm
On this trip to Mount Airy found about half of the good 9/6 Jacks or better and Bonus Poker machines downgraded to to poorer pay tables. Still some good machines, but less. No good machines under $1. grdsr
