My wife and I live in the area so this casino is very convenient to us but we no longer go there. We played (each) $1 JoB for several hours one day dropping nearly $1K in the process. We were both playing on the same account. All this only got us about $6 in food comps and $40 in free play. I asked a host for food comps and he gave me ONE comp to the buffet. For $25,000 - $30,000 coin in that is pretty skimpy. There are other casinos in the area that are not as stingy with the comps. luckylucy39

There are very few players play in High Limits now. About 3 years ago, I hit a $4K jackpot then went to high limits and won $40 K Royal Flush. Odds were excellent at that time. When I returned 2 months later, Pay tables had been changed drastically. I talked to the head of slots. He told me that they had to cut the budget. I argued that the High Limits should have the best odds - pointing out Las Vegas examples. Jackpots also are required to pay the 3% state tax. It it were not for Free play offered, I would not go at all. Free play - $4-500 mostly - can also be used for Videio Poker. At the end of 2013, Belterra gutted their few decent vp games. There are still three $1 Single Line 9/6 JB machines, but the other $1 machines are 9/5 or worse and the lower denoms are all 8/5 or worse. There are also 8 or so quarter NSUD progressive machines which have a HORRIBLE cashback rate. It's interesting that Belterra and the two Harrah's properties on the Ohio River all eliminated their decent vp at the same time. Belterra seems to have kicked out the Jeff Ruby's steakhouse, Ben & Jerry's, and Starbucks at the same time as the vp changes. They are building their own steakhouse, but maybe this is all indicative of serious financial problems with Pinnacle Entertainment in general and Belterra in particular. It appeared that Belterra was suffering the least from the opening of Horseshoe Cincinnati, but maybe the lesser loss of business hurt them even more than Hollywood and Rising Star. I just got back from Firekeepers Casino and I had a terrible time, on the video poker machines even the 1's I played that were on here that said that they had good payback, I didnt hit 1 4 of a kind, lost 300 bucks grghh. I guess I gotta stop going my dad says, but there are not enough low limit video poker machines, gun lake I'm coming back, the lowest bet you can make is 1dollar or 1.25 on a quarter machine, goes quick if your not hitting and I didnt hit anything, my buddy on the other hand hit 2 4 of a kinds back to back, so I'm glad he did better than me.
