The quarter NSUD 3-way progressive is 4 slant-top machines near the Sportsbook and steak house. Near that same area are 6 slant-top dollar full-pay 10/6/40 double double bonus with royal progressive. Other quarter deuces progressives in the casino are 16/13 short-pay. There are progressives spread all over the casino, most are junk, some are worth a look.

I could not find pick `em machines the database says are near the Blue Reno. We got down to the Qube bar where we play the most, 9 6 job in 25c and $1.00 and NSUD, double bonus is only 9/7, don't think there is any 10/7 left in the Casino. The machines had Bonus Poker at 99.1660, Bonus Poker Deluxe at 99.6417, Double Bonus Poker at 99.1065. Did find Spin Poker behind the Qube bar towards the buffet with, to the best of my knowledge and belief, 9/6 JOB and NSUD down to the penny level up to $1.00 I think.

All (12) of the FPDW machines are still at the Peppermill. There are 6 slant top multi-game/multi-dom machines at the entrance near Oceano with FPDW. The confusion might be that there are two banks of 6 machines; once has 25 coin NSUD in quarters and the other has 10 coin FPDW in quarters, but all the machines in each bank are the same. The ones in the alcove by the Fishbar are still alive and well too.

In the database, there's a listing for $.05 progressive 10/7 DB. There are 3 MG/MD uprights near the rainbow bar (upstairs) with $.05 10 coin 10/7 DB progressive. This is a nice play for very low rollers or someone who wants to practice 10/7 DB w/o putting much at risk. I stumbled across some 9/6 BP Dlx, not being familiar with the game I just made a note of the paytable to check later to see what it returned. It's a 99.64% game, so should probably be in the database. Unfortunately I didn't note denomination or location. In the Super Times Pay machines I found (Multi denom, $.01-$10, triple to 10 play), they had 9/6 JoB, 10/6 DB, 9/6 DDB, Airport Deuces.

The cabaret bar (aka "the wierdo magnet") has .25 10 coin 9/6 JoB w/ progs on 4oK and up. Upgraded from the 5 coin 8/5 Job progs. For the low roller, these games also have 5-2 blackjack even at the .05 level!

The Peppermill Reno inventory lists as MIA 4 $1 10 coin 9/6 JoB progressive with $9400 reset. Those machines are not MIA, and are still there (they may have been shut down or changed briefly in December). In fact there are a lot more than the original 4 machines, I think at least 10 (if I recall correctly 6 uprights and 4 slant tops) now all located in the alcove near the fish bar. The database lists $5 10/6 DDB progressive at the bar in the high-limit area, this game does not exist. Perhaps it did at one time, but I've not seen a game of this sort there in over a year. The only $5 progressive in the bar is the JoB. There are tons of metered games throughout the casinos with decent meter rates on games like 8/5 BP and 9/6 DDB and Ugly Ducks (1/2/3/4/4/9/15/25) where the meters get into the well positive range, I don't know if you care to list games of this type in the database, but there are lots of good play opportunities at any given time in the $.25 and $1 limits, and above as well. A note on the marketing/discretionary comps - it sounds like the person who wrote the note had a bad experience at the Peppermill, but their story is inconsistent with my experience. I've played nothing ever but positive plays at the Peppermill (some plays are progressives that are not positive at reset, but have always been positive when I've played them), and my bounceback, comps, and general treatment from the casino and my host have been constantly improving over time. Perhaps that will change at some point, but I'm really living on the good graces of the casino anyway if they are willing to offer me positive plays and throw other goodies my way because I choose to take advantage of them. Perhaps the person with the comments had a personal axe to grind, or perhaps there is a real problem there. If you play in the high-limit area, for instance, it's hard to play a machine that's not "certified loose", and while the place does have bad plays at lower denominations, the casino doesn't seem to be in the constant "downgrade the pay tables" mode that many casinos seem to have fallen into lately. They've been adding new plays, not the least of which is the recent addition of the $.25 10 coin FPDW. I don't know if you care about very high-limit machines in the database, but: In the high-limit slot section, there is a $25 3 coin 9/6 JoB progressive, and a $10 NSUD progressive. 9/6 JoB can be found in the high-limit area on machine with $1/$2/$5/$10/$25 denomination, including 3/5 play machines in $1/$2/$5/$10 at the bar (only one machine has the $10 denomination available). There's NSUD on the 3/5 play machines at the bar in $1/$2/$5 denominations. Further clarification on the $1 10 coin JoB progressives, there are 6 uprights with the game, the meter resets at $9400, but short coining no longer gives full 4700 or even 4000 royal at 5 coins, short coin play gives 300x coin in for the royal. There are 5 slant top MG/MD machines that also share the $1 10 coin JoB progressive game, so there are a total of 11 machines that participate in that progressive.

I've noticed many changes recently in the poker product offered by both the Peppermill and Atlantis. Your product list for Peppermill is very outdated. You don't list the 12 .50 FP Deuces. One bank of 6 by the Oceano doors and the other tucked away in the back by the fireside bar. Also, I find that they have a very liberal variety of 10/7 progressive DB $1 one location is at the Bar by the Oceano. Another .25 FP DB progressive close to the h-l slot section which has FP DB $1 also. (More than I expected. Looks like they are turning back to cater to the locals?) I found a new bank by the bar with the big tree that has a cool multi level .25 and $1 progressive with deuces, JP, SDDB, BPD, JOB, They go positive on a regular basis and I think they have more games like that. Back by the fish bar they have two $.1 JP 7/18 paytable prog that are a positive play on a regular basis. The Pepp does not have pick-ems any more. It still says that they do on the site. For those with the bankroll, the high-limit area has a good mix of pokers. What is going on at the Atlantis? The Atlantis is shorting many of their games. No FP games, and a lot of 5/8 and 6/9s. They are losing ground to the Pepp and it shows. Its too bad but its true.

The Pepp also has 90 and 180 coin 1,2,5,25,50 cent spin and spin deluxe with NSUD and 6/9 JOB on them. Both banks of FPDW are quarter 10-coin machines that are full pay with 5 or more coins.

I can confirm the existence of all of the FPDW at the Pepp. They are MG/MD 25c 10 coin fast machines. I hit the ducks and walked away with a nice profit. Hit these folks while they still are around. Nobody was playing these when I was there on Tuesday - fat city. I also found 25c JOB in the spinpokers between the table games and the fancy restroom in the back.

Best I can tell, all of the .25 10/6 DDB multi-strikes listed in the database at the Peppermill have been downgraded to 9/6. I couldn't find the ones by the coffee shop but am assuming that they have been downgraded like the others.
Dec, 2004
Peppermill: 5-play Multi-Strike which had NSUD, SDB and 9/6 JoB are gone from former spot near main cashier(did not search casino for possible new location).
Dec, 2004
The 9/6 JoB $1, 10-coin Progressive (which are the same as $1, 9/6 JoB 4700 RF) are MIA. They have been replaced by new fancy pants machines, but I was unable to list the games nor paytables.

I found (8) 10/7 DB $2 progressive bartops in the Oceano. The bar is located next to the restaurant with the large fish tank. I also found that since my last Reno vacation which was in June, the buffet at both the Peppermill and Atlantis casinos have gone somewhat down hill. The quality of the food and desserts aren't as good as it once was.

All dollar 10/7 DB is history. Found a few five play multistrikes right in front of the cashier's cage which had full pay SDB at nickles, dimes and quarters. Also had FP JOB. The 5 Play Multi-Strikes also have 9/6 Bonus Dlx, NSUD, and Deuces Wild Bonus.

The machines at the high-limit bar do not all have the same pay tables. 9/6 JOB $5 prog is still there (I think on a bunch of machines). There is still $1,$2,$5 10/6 DDB but not on every machine at the bar. There is 10/7 DB at all 3 limits as well. There is a bank of machines with 10/7DB and 10/6 DDB in the high-limit area, but not at the bar. These are slant tops (I am not sure if these are linked to the $5 JOB). The NSUD $1 progressives in the alcove outside the fishbar frequently gets positive as well.
