The Double Diamond progressives are the best plays there. I've seen $1 ones get to $7K. My last visit in 2006, there was nothing better than 7-5 BP.

Just for informational purposes I went last weekend to Montreal for a birthday party and went to the casino friday night and sunday afternoon. Very noisy with a disco band that was deafening and tone deaf singers. Not a brilliant mix. However there are a few triple and five play machines scattered around with 5/9 ddb. I lucked in and played a a triple play hot streak on $100.00 with lots of 4 of a kind (no kickers) and a grand finale Royal Flush on the bottom line. Made a profit of about $1400.00. The annoying thing is even though they have TITO on most machines they still have to hand-pay you minor jackpots. It gets very annoying waiting for someone to turn up and pay you when all you've hit is $125.00. I wouldn't make it a habit of going to Casino Montreal, however it is pleasant enough if you can overlook the Mickey Mousyness of the operation as compared to AC or Vegas.

The last two remaining 7/5 BP quarter machines have been downgraded to 6/5, like all the rest. The best available quarter game is now the Triple Play 9/5 DDB (97.87%) found on the main level. There are two banks of six machines which have JoB 8/5, 4-of-a-Kind Bonus 8/5, Double Bonus 9/6, a short pay Deuces and the 9/5 DDB. The higher denomination machines have been moved into a private area for higher players only. Same day Cash Back is available, but I'm not sure of the rate.

There are many 6/5 (96.9%) Bonus Poker games, with only one 7/5 that I have found. Many of the 6/5s are slant-tops located throughout the casino. The 7/5 is an upright located on the first level in a bank of 6/5s. (The parking level is below). There are some triple play multi-game machines also on the first level. I would have to go back to get a run down on the games and schedules. On the third level there is a bank of very short pay DW in uprights. There are also many short pay KoB JW throughout the casino. All vp is 25 cent as of my last visit. Things don't seem to change there very often.

I went to Casino du Montreal this weekend. The place really is huge with too many machines to check on a single trip. I discovered many things I never paid attention to in the past. Some of what I found follows: IGT Triple Play 12 machines, 8 on the first level, four on the lower level, near the parking elevators. These are $0.25. JoB 8/5 - 97.2984% Four of a Kind Bonus Poker 1,1,3,4,5,8,80,50,250/4000 (All quads pay 400 max coin in) - 97.4009% DB 9/6 - 97.8062% Deuces Wild 1,2,3,4,4,8,12,20,200,250/4000 - 96.5692% DDB 1,1,3,4,5,9,50,80,160,160,400,50,250/4000 - 97.8729% Do you see a pattern developing here? I found a bank of 8 more of the 7/5 Bonus Poker games in the non-smoking section (mid-level going down to the parking level), and one more in the bank with original noted, making a total of 10 found. The is regular Bonus Poker, not the Four of a Kind variety found on the TP - location and game details are unknown. Gamemaker Deuces, many found around the casino in $0.25 and $1 1,2,3,4,4,9,12,20,200,250/4000 97.0554% GameKing, many found around the casino with a version of Super A-C-E-S 1,1,3,6,8,10,25,40,80,250,50,250/4000 $1 Caution: The pay table showed 16,000 for the top payout. I assumed that that meant they were paying quarters, but I didn't ask. I will have to check this out more carefully, as I saw the same notation on a GameKing with Bonus Poker Deluxe for $5. My previous commnet regarding all vp being for a quarter was mistaken. Deuces Progressive $0.25 One bank (6) on the second level in the new building 1,2,2,3,4,10,15,25,200/1000,250/Progressive Bonus Poker Progressive 6/5 A long bank of perhaps a dozen machines against the wall on the first level to the right of the Gift Shop. Lastly, Joker Poker Two Pair of Better $0.25 and $1 in the GM, with the following paytable: 2 Pr 1, 3k 2, ST 3, FL 5, FH 8, 4K 16, ST FL 100, 5K 400, 5 8's(wierd) 8000 with max coin. I have no way to calculate the payback on this, all I know is I didn't care to play! Also, Casino du Monteal does have cashback and comps. The rate for CB is yet unknown, but I've actually gotten Cashback so I know its there. On my next trip I'll inquire about the paytables on the GAMEKINGS , especially the $5, and about the rate of cashback.
