Casino under going casino floor changes and are moving machines around. This week, starting 4/28/13, the six Multi-Strike multi-denom machines were off line as all machines in that area while work is taking place. They may be ready by this week, 5/4/13. Unsure, but verified that the cabinets were Staying put, and not being moved off the floor.

Floor changes complete, and Multi-Strikes return (all 6 multi-denoms) near same location, near Buffet, but now on a round slot wall adjacent to hallway. Glad they did not remove any from floor.

As expected, the e-casino (In Room) video poker (which is offered) has terrible pay tables. Was interesting that Borgata was first to offer in room gaming though. See February comment for link to article on subject.

I am hearing about major changes to the pay tables at Borgata, especially the 9/6 JoB being removed from pay tables, and/or machines moving or being removed completely. I am trying to verify the higher denominations, and if the high limit room was impacted? I updated what I could verify with the help from many of you. Any additional information is welcome from those who go regularly. What may help more at this point is what has styaed, if anything? Do we have any 9/6 JoB left, and if so, what denominations?

Borgata still has a lot of 9/6 JOB but they have a lot of short pay mixed in as well.

For denominations of a dollar or less, comp dollars are about .3% and slot dollars about .15%. Denominations of greater than a dollar, generally earn at a lower rate.

Technically, maintenance of Black Label after the first year requires that $1000 in comps be earned from play. If one sticks strictly to the most advantageous games -- pretty much defined as 9/6 Jacks, but it's possible that it's also true of 8/5 BP or 9/7 DB (or plays anything on multigames with qualifying games on them), the comp rate is currently .33%. Thus, it'll take $300K of annual play to meet that requirement ... a stringent threshold for a relatively casual quarter or halve player. However, there are reports of players being extended (for at least the second year) on as little as $400 earned comp dollars. There are also reports that Borgata will extend simply by presenting a renewed premium card from another casino (or a dated letter documenting access to a premium players lounge in some cases where premium cards aren't issued). Given that other casinos (including Harrah's) extend premium status on a fraction of the Borgata 9/6 Jacks requirement, I've expected the ranks of Black Label players to swell. However, if anything, the lines have become shorter now that they're moving into their 3rd year of operation. Borgata play economics and appeal are such that many of the more active AC players either find other more advantageous plays elsewhere (particularly as Borgata cb/comps have thinned with time) or are simply put off by Borgata's relatively "snooty" atmosphere, preferring more down to earth digs. I consider Black Label indispensable and the place intolerable without it. Black label lines at check-in, the players card desk, and the casual restaurants (coffee shop and buffet) are a fraction of the standard lines. At peak hours it's not unusual for the standard lines to entail a 20 to 30 min. wait. The Black Label lines rarely require more than 5 min. and at all but the very peak of times it's not uncommon to simply walk up and be served (providing all the vain ego boost of sauntering past the long buffet lines at Bellagio with a line pass. Black Level Perks - Free parking, a big one in and of itself. - Primary seating at ALL the casual restaurants. Since the lines can get quite long, this is nothing to scoff at. - Special lines for hotel check-in and the My Borgata club center. Did you ever look at the line of people waiting to check in on a busy night? You can bypass that with a Black Label card. - More mail offers than you know what to do with. I get an offer for free rooms, Sunday through Friday, twice a week. EVERY WEEK, if I want it, which I don't because I'm a local. - Mail offers for free slot play on a given day, free comp dollars (becoming rare), entries into drawings and slot tournaments. (They're a zoo. I usually don't even bother. The line to do last Friday's slot tourney was an hour and a half. With 22 prizes, I said f--- it, and hit the casino.) - Offers for multiple "cashback," actually free slot play. It's been 4X every day in February and March, now it's 3X for April. Every day in the time period. My free slot play bucks are adding up quickly. - Access to the Amphora Lounge. They take $10 off your comp account and you get a nice buffet and open bar. My 24-year-old nephew loved the latter when I took him there. - If you don't want the booze, you can get a yummy buffet for 10 comp dollars. It's actually food you want to eat, not just to fill your stomach. - Getting treated like a friggin' king or queen.
