Went for Race for Rewards, plan was to eat my points and I had not looked at the vp report for the casino. Buffet was the worst of any casino, makes Circus Circus look like Le Cirque. Only bright spot was cherrystoke clams and mussels both of which I am not crazy about. Parking was free which is nice change after AC. Sports betting had their own floor. I saw 8-5 JoB on the $5 machines, sorry that is all I play but I think it is safe that the other games have bad payouts, too. The local promotions seemed generous but it is not like I want food comps there. rldjnyc

The Reserve has a few banks of 9/6 DDB that is NOT listed on VP free. One bank of three just down the hall to the east from the players club, at the $1 level has a progressive by suit. When I was there the clubs were $4,500+, spades $4,700+ and hearts at $8,500+ but the diamonds was over $10,000. This was a great game for CO. mconnerley

Avoid LVH if you're used to quality. We were really unimpressed with LVH. From the start we were unimpressed. At registration there were over one hundred people waiting and two employees checking us in. It took us almost 90 minutes to get into our room. The room had not been cleaned, there were cue tips on the floor. The staff were generally pleasant, but simply overwhelmed. With so many excellent hotels in Vegas, why would anyone stay in a place this poorly managed. kiwiboy1

We stayed at Montego Bay on a junket flight from Wendoverfun.com. We visited all 3 Peppermill properties, and it seemed like Montego Bay had the nicest hotel amenities. (Peppermill had the nicest VP.) Room was large and wifi (included in resort fee for paying customers) was nice. Casino is smallish and to be redecorated soon, moving in a direction away from "Peppermill Neon". We played NSUD exclusively. Machines seem to be scattered. For the right price we would return. Restaurants provide an overpriced, mediocre product with disinterested employees. We would only stay again at our convenience if the price was right. testpro

And name calling aside, for a long time, I've found Mohegan Sun interesting as the second chapter to a fascinating story that started with Foxwoods Casino in the mid-1980s, and just ten miles West. Over the years, several books were written and many newspapers have chronicled these two casinos prompting many skeptics to argue over the legitimacy of casinos proliferating on reservation land and the sovereignty of United States government to oversee these businesses. You don't have to worry about eating when you can choose from high-end steak house down to just donuts. The ceiling is high enough that the smokers can coexist with the non-smokers. I got it in the mail a couple weeks after my visit and it is set to expire on September 30th.
