The Gold Strike Casino in Jean Nevada is now Terrible's Road House. New owner Jett Gaming has taken over from former owner MGM Resorts.

Report from a recent visitor: Old slot cards no longer work. Slot points from old card (free slot play) are transferred to new card, but not comps. You must keep old card and can still redeem old comps at gift shop, steak house, or hotel for now. I was told old comps can no longer be used for gas. Buffet has been closed and is now a Denny's. You still generate comps and free play on the new slot card. No literature available yet, but FP rate was still 0.1% on machine I played.

They are doing away with coin droppers and attendant pays and are going 100% TITO. The casino floor is like 2/3 empty. I suppose it is possible they have taken some of the old machine off site to install TITO, but I think it is much more likely they are gone permanently. Gone are the 25c FPDW, WHA, 16/11 DW, and $5 9/6 JoB.

There are no hosts at Gold Strike. Slot club info is available at hotel check-in desk which doubles as the slot club booth. One cannot amass more than $500 in comp dollars: the overage is subtracted regularly. They can be used for gas in nearby Shell station. There is full-pay 9/6 JB and 8/5 Bonus.
