Greetings VPFree2 fanatics!! : ) Rising Star Casino- as one of my more frequently visited sites has made some subtle changes and I would like to present them. Players Club: Benchmarks are relatively the same with a change on the high end 0-12499: GOLD 12500-34999: Platinum 35000-64999: Diamond 65000+: Diamond Elite (must be cleared- no security/credit issues) Point earning update for 2015 Tier Advancement Slots: $4 coin-in = 1 point VP: *Updated* $8 coin-in = 1 point They have reduced the VP in half this year with the new CEO realizing that 0.25% for video poker was possibly no longer in their best interests. Some paytables have been reduced slightly as well- specifically bar top $.25 units DDB down to 8/5/4 from 9/6/4. These are not meant to be negative comments as the place is doing what it feels best to return to profitability. They did re-open their steakhouse Thursday nights now and offer a 3-course $21 meal (significantly cheaper than the $35-45 entrees). I believe they are tweaking the place to increase service to the loyal patrons- and they have opened the door to new patrons in a different way. $150-300 ADT- now getting attention from junior hosts/player development reps. $300+ ADT generally gets Executive Host to set player up with a room and food of some variety (likely bar or buffet until a few visits- then possibly steakhouse). To relay it all in terms of my experience and all the talking with different Executive Hosts, They are looking to entertain guests with the ability to be a $3000-$4000 coin-in/day on the slots (maybe add 50% more for VP now that they've separated the two-we will see how they handle this). They need modest action from the casual gamer to return to greatness. The Hosts are inclined to look with a very fair eye at Coin-in and/or quick losses for Steakhouse dinners, Golf Comps, or extra buffets. The beverage team is comprised of many good people but maybe a little rest

Still Earned Cash of 0.25% Discretionary Comps: (based on experience but NOT pure science) 2 Buffet Available about $2000 coin-in Steakhouse for 2 at about $8000 coin-in (usually they offer between $110 and $130 in food comp depending on your wins/losses).

Marketing Comps: Lower Freeplay than Horseshoes but offset by higher cashback rate, looser games, and that video poker rates the same as slots. $8000 coin-in has brought me an average of $45-$80 freeplay per visit. $3200 coin-in brought my wife a mailer of about $35/week.

General Info: Seems like they value the upper end of the low roller very well. Mid-rollers (let's say arbitrarily $8000-$15000 coin-in per visit can expect upgraded rooms and possibly suites for weeknights).

I visited last Saturday, and all of the .25 games listed (the row of machines on the lower level) are now gone. The pay schedules have been changed on all of those machines. The best .25 game I could see was 7/5 BP. The $1.00 schedules on the same aisle were intact. I did a quick spot check of the other vp machines on the bottom level and did not see anything good.
