From a Harrah's Southern California player: "Visited today. From what I saw all DDB at the $.25 level is now 8/5, that includes the machines outside of Dive Inn, the bar top machines at the bars, and the bank of machines by the food court. The $.25 and $1 progressive banks that used to be by Dive Inn are gone. Confirmed the removal of the progressive banks with a slot attendant."

"The $5 machines with 8/5 ACE$ Bonus and Aces and Faces have been downgraded. AFAIK there is no remaining video poker that returns above 99% at any denomination. It appears the direction Eldorado Resorts is going to take the company is becoming apparent."

I played at the Sportsbar 3/25-3/28 and the 8/5 99.17% BP has been downgraded to 7/5 in all denominations on one side of the sports bar and other side is expected to be downgraded by this Wednesday, April 1st. They are putting in qtr progressive on one side. The 4 old uprights with 99.17% BP in the non-smoking area are still intact but I heard they will probably be downgraded too.

A report as of 1/12/14 - Part of the VP area at Harrahs Rincon is now curtained off. There are ominous reports of what will be revealed when that curtain is removed. The two Dream Card machines in that area are MIA at least until the renovation is complete.

In the meantime, I noticed today that much of the Bonus Poker in High Limit regardless of denomination (i.e. even at $25) no longer pays 400 for quad aces or 200 for quad 2s 3s or 4s. Instead, it is a flat 150 for any four of a kind which makes the game unplayable. Relatively speaking, it is an improvement over the 8/5 Jacks on those same machines.

There is traditional Bonus Poker still available on a variety of denominations in the first row outside of High Limit as you walk towards the east exit.

Harrahs Rincon offers 99.4% A€E$ Bonus Poker at $1 on multi-denomination machines just outside High Limit. That game as well as the traditional 8/5 Bonus Poker with the A-4 bonus quads are two of the very few full-pay games remaining at Rincon.

On a non-gambling note, the buffet at Harrahs Rincon is a very good one. Far superior to Pechanga, perhaps a bit below Valley View (but also without the long wait). The only down side is that it is quite a hike to the desserts which are all the way back towards where you entered and around the corner.

We were far less pleased with the coffee shop which served some of the worst food we have ever tasted. Do not use your comps here. The service was also sloppy and sub-par. My waiter actually repositioned my iced tea glass by grabbing it at the top which, if you have any experience in food handling, is something you absolutely never do. Customers at other tables were also complaining verbally. No wonder that on a recent Saturday we didn't see a single person sitting in there as we walked by.

From reports on the vpFREE forum: Some high limit video poker machines require $50 instead of $10 coin-in to earn one Base Reward Credit. No Bonus Reward Credits are earned on video poker machines. There are frequent multiplier days. Monthly mailers contain decent food coupons and random bonus free play.

I checked every machine looking for the .25 15/9/4 DW and they are gone. The only .25 DW I found had a paytable that returned about 96%.
