The casino is only open on weekends, Friday afternoon until Sunday evening. Call casino to confirm. VP is limited to small High Limit room.
Also visited Pearl River Resort in Philadelphia, Ms - Golden Moon and Silver Star Casinos - no full pay - 9/5 double double, 7/5 JB, a 94% version of 8/5 --beautiful casinos, large, open aisles, mostly slots.
Visited Golden Moon and Silver Star, sister casinos at Pearl River Resort in Choctaw, MS (near Philadelphia, MS). Only VP worth mentioning is a bank of $1 9/5 DDB progressives at Golden Moon. According to BDPWP, this would take a jackpot of just under $8,000 tfor break-even. Cash back is 0.2% -- $5 coin-in equals one point, 100 points gets $1.00 back. They recently completed a 3x points promotion for all $1 and up machines. Comps are unknown, but reasonably generous. Room comps require a host (Michael House was mine). I played about $20K over a 24-hour period, asked for a room, and was given a small suite. First casino room I've ever seen with a bathroom weight scale -- not what I wanted to see after a trip to the buffet. Spectrum Buffet at GM was OK, not spectacular. Bistro/24 coffee shop was good. Didn't check out higher-end dining.
I have not personally visited Pearl River Resort but have read about it on another forum. The posters are very happy with the resort and win according to them 90% of the time, they only play slots. They are very happy with the food at Dinner at the Moon and the Silver Star Buffet. Also, they said that the sound system is very good and the band that was there , when they last were there this month was very good.
