Casino hosts at Eldorado Reno and Silver Legacy now assist customers at both casinos.

Eldorado Resorts has completed the acquisition of Caesars Entertainment. The new company name is Caesars Entertainment Corp.

From a video poker player: "Eldorado Reno no longer accrues points as you play that you can redeem for freeplay or cash.You can still accrue comp dollars that can be used for food, etc. but not freeplay. There are no more point multiplier days anymore because there are no points."

Report on promotions from a vp player: New promos include 2X points Wed, 3X Thursday, 4X Friday, 2 PM to 10 PM on those days. Swipe at kiosk and select "Today's Offer" before playing. The NASCAR races promotion have switched to 2, 4, 6, 8. 10 PM on Saturdays and 2,4,6 PM Sunday. Daily slot tournament 4-7 PM and a bigger one on Friday nights.

Signage in the casino and PA system announcements have not yet been updated to reflect these changes.

No one at the players club or in the marketing office can correctly explain or really knows how the promotion allowing you to choose your points to be accrued as free play or as comps works. A friend with a law degree read the fine print and determined that one had to amass a certain dollar amount of comps (according to card level) before the "Optimize your slot dollars!" or "Optimize your comps!" buttons on the kiosk can be activated. He was right.

As of May 2014, Annie Coleman has retired as a casino host at the Eldorado Reno.

Report from a Eldorado Reno vp player: The comp and freeplay rates at Eldorado vary by player. If they peg you as a strong player, they will be cut or (almost) eliminated. (This is explicitly stated in their players club rules, which is surprisingly honest of them, though I didn't notice it until after it'd happened to me.) I personally get about 0.02% freeplay at Eldorado now. Be warned.

Players card is $100 for 1 tier point. I checked this on JOB, JOB progressive, and NSUD at both the $0.25 & $1 denoms. That was the biggest surprise I noticed. Also, didn't check exactly, but the comp for these was close to 0.3% and free play was about 0 .1% get both at the same time.

Just received $25 "Loyalty Bonus Cash" good for the month of July. I did about $13k coin-in in May over 7 days (with a win of $2.6k). So this is about 0.2% CB in addition to the 0.5% comps.

La Strada bartops are gone with new remodel. There is a new wine bar but I did not see any machines in there. The VP has been downgraded at the Stadium bar. The best games are now at the Margarita (or Cabaret) bar and the bank outside of Brew Brothers (but only 3 have the full pay games). 9/6 JB progressives are at most bars at $1 level, $5 progressive is located inside the Gold Room only.

The (7) DB machines on the 2nd floor near the grill were downgraded weeks ago (June 2). They are also listed under LDW, SA, JW2. NSUD & JOB as being near "La Strada"-- I did not check these other games but would guess that at least the LDW was also downgraded (if not eliminated).

All the Loose Deuce (100.1%) Game Kings have been downgraded to NSUD. I checked both banks by the Brew Brothers (14) and La Strada (7). In fact, there were only a handful by La Strada now, having been replaced by video slots. I agree with the database that this is a pleasant place to play with restrooms close and its relative quietness.
