Tropicana Evansville is now known as Bally's Evansville.

Bally's Corp. has completed the acquisition of the Tropicana Evansville casino operations from Caesars Entertainment, Inc.

Eldorado Resorts, Inc. has completed the acquisition of Tropicana Entertainment. Tropicana is no longer a boat as of October 2017. Not all of the bar top games were taken ashore but all the stand alone games were moved to the new casino. October 1, 2018 Eldorado Management under a Master Lease, took over all the Tropicana casino locations except for Aruba which was NOT part of the sale to Gaming and Leisure Properties.

Casino Aztar is now known as the Tropicana Evansville.

In addition to the $1 games mentioned in the June '08 update, this same bank of upright machines on the first level of the casino (either 18 or 20 total MG/MD machines) also has $1 9/6 Bonus Deluxe VP (99.64%); $1 USA Poker (99.60%) - slightly less than full pay, with quads paying 35 (1 coin) and 175 (5 coin); and $1 Black Jack Bonus VP 9/6/4, with 4000 coin pay for 4 Aces + Black Jack kicker (lower than full pay, but I don't have the exact %). I looked at the paytables on all of these machine and they were all the same at the dollar level, much lower schedules at the $0.25 and $0.50 levels. Cash back and points per dollar are a mystery. I played about $20,000 coin-in (8 hours, $1 VP) and earned $15 cashback.

Aztar now has $1 MG/MD NSUD, 9/6 JOB, 9/7 DB, 9/6 DDB and 8/5 BP scattered around the bottom level in the Video poker area.

Walked the Casino Aztar yesterday and the VP has not improved. Lots of people playing so there is no reason to improve the VP. No competition.

Got to Casino Aztar last weekend and the VP is still abysmal. Lots of 7/5 JOB, 8/5 Bonus Poker that pays even money for 2-pair and RRRUglyDucks. There were two $5 SL 9/6 JOB. Live poker spreading 5-10 and 10-20-30 holdem; $5 rake plus $1 for jackpot. BJ was 6 decks with DA2, no DAS, S17, BJ3/2. I didn't play so I don't know where the cut card was placed or if they gave any heat to betting spreads.

Casino Aztar (Evansville) was a complete wasteland last time (several months ago) I was there.
