CF has a hotel now -- Courtyard by Marriott. 4 floors, 100 rooms, 12 suites - and you can use your points (100 = $1). The brochure says hot tub, fitness center and high speed internet.

Many machines have been removed for construction of the new Ti Amo Italian Grille restaurant (where the old coffee shop was.) There is a ā€œUā€ shaped pit (affectionately called the Horseshoe Pit) west of the Storm Slots that still has 3 multi-play 9/6 JOB. I noticed many pay tables are now similar to Peppermill in Reno.

The high-limit area has 5 Game Kings, 2 All Star and 1 Multi-Strike. JOB at $1 is 8/5, $5 and $10 is 9/5, $20 and $25 is 9/6. BP at $1 and $5 is 7/5, $10 is 8/5. DB $1 is 9/6. NSUD is 15/9/4. USA and Aces & 8's is also on the Game Kings. On the bank of machines between the Buffet and Sportsbook, LDW is gone above the $0.25 level.

There is a bank of 6 .02 progressive Tens or Better near the Cabaret. Each machine has its own progressive that resets at $470 and takes 25 coins to qualify. The deli is closed and the coffee shop is relocated next to the buffet. The coffee shop gives you a 20% discount if you use your comp points to pay for your meal. Other games I've seen but not checked their pay tables yet - USA (All American), Shockwave, STP and Multi-Strike.

Best game is NSUD $, may have it in other denom. Next best is JB in many denoms. Played .02 100-play for an hr last weekend for an hr & lost $300. With .5% in comps & comps can be used for Costco & a couple of other gift cards as well as dining & many local vendors participating. It's break-even but last yr did have 10/6/4 DDB on the 100-plays up to dimes & a pro burned it out getting Costco cards. Pretty certain that they will go ahead with plans to put in hotel/motel complex. It's at the south end of town about a half-mile N of 50/395 junction. It's worth a stop just to get a bite to eat. Good deli & coffee shop but have never had the time to try the other restaurants. Interior is bright, cheery and modern in stark contrast to the Nugget and other places downtown. High ceilings, well-maintained -- smoke is not a problem.

The newest casino in Northern Nevada opened at the beginning of August in Carson City. It is the smallish Casino Fandango just south of the city. It is on the right hand side as you head south on 395, set up on a little incline, making it a bit easy to miss if you don't know right where it is (I'm speaking from experience). The actual address is 3800 South Carson Street. There's no hotel, of course. They have one 24 hour coffee shop/deli with an inexpensive menu, and one bar. The look inside is tropical paradise (if you like the Atlantis or the Peppermill you'll be right at home). It has 175 machines (about half video poker, by my reckoning, and all of them ticket in/ticket out) and five table games (four blackjack and one three card poker). Only two blackjack tables were open on the Saturday night I visited, and they were both full so I didn't play. It appears to be a standard single deck, hit soft 17, double any first 2 cards with penetration of just over half the deck. A very good game if you can coax reasonable penetration out of the dealer. This place is 9/6 Jacks or Better heaven. The game is available in slant tops and uprights, in single line and three, five, 50 and 100 play machines, in denominations from pennies through dollars. In fact, I did not find a short-pay Jacks or Better game in the place. Unfortunately, from what I could seen, the news is not as good regarding other games. I could not find any full pay deuces, joker poker or double bonus. I was unable to check every machine because it was a pretty busy Saturday night, but I checked quite a few and never found any. There was an earlier report of FPKBJW on the 50 or 100 play machines, but those are long gone, of course. There are two multi-strike machines but they were busy the whole time I was there so I was unable to check them. It's a nice little place with fair games and good cheap eats. I recommend it as a nice place to stop if you happen to be traveling between Reno & South Lake Tahoe and want to play a little 9/6 JoB.
