Most Marketing offers aren't deducted from your Reward Credit balance. Hosts can over-ride the new Rewards Program to take care of "good" players. Hosts can't give discretionary comps until all reward credits are used up.

The six Bally GameMakers that were along the escalator on the upper level have been put back out on the floor. They are now in the Video Poker Zone. Here's the weird thing: ALL the short pay games that were very popular (Triple Trouble, Keno, Deuces Wild, DB 9/6, JOB 8/5) have been removed and the only games left on the menu are Pick'em and All American! Nearly all the dollar AA machines are gone. The row of six "old, green" machines along the wall have been replaced with Game Kings that have Pick-A-Pair on them. (Pick-A-Pair is what IGT calls Pick'em). Furthermore, the two dollar GameMakers that were near the high-limit area on the first floor are also gone. Here's the weirdest news of all. The high-limit Area used to have 5 Game Kings with various $5 progressives on them. Three of those are gone. They've been replaced with new Bally GameMakers with...drum roll, please...$5 All American. Yes, with the 100.72% pay scale. Be still, my beating heart. So here's the final AA tally for Harrah's KC: (15) .25 machines - (3) $1 machines - (3) $5 - location and game details are unknown. Two of the new Gamemaker machines in the high-limit room are $1.00/$2.00 multidenom and one of the machines is $5.00 only. These three machines have AA, Pick 'Em, and 9/6 Jacks.

It looks like the reduction of AA inventory at Harrah's KC is permanent. The line of seven quarter GMs (as well as the dollar slots) on the upper level next to the escalator have all been replaced with new slot machines that are very pretty to look at. There are still plenty of AA machines at this casino, but I guess this is a sign of what's coming.

The two dollar MG w/AA on the lower level have been turned back on, but still use coins (no TITO conversion). Furthermore, the six dollar MG w/AA on the upper level have now been turned off. So there are now only two working dollar AA machines in all of Kansas City.

They have moved the lower level $ AA machines, or I should say they are gone. A couple weeks ago the old green $ MG machines were dark. I just knew they were on the way out but to my surprise they were back in action on the last visit. Those machines have AA, 9/6 JoB, and Pick'Em. There are 6 large screen upright machines -- 3 in quarter and 3 in $ -- still active. They are back to back with .25 on one side and $ on the other. These machines also have AA, JoB, and Pick'Em. There are a few old AAs in 25 cent in the middle of the "Poker Zone".
Dec, 2004
There are (5) $5  9/6 JoB progressives in high-limit area.

$1,000,000 coin-in per year earns 7 Star status.

As promised, I did a walk through of Harrah's KC today. The AA is all still there. Here is a complete listing of the machines with AA: 25c $1 Lower Level 6 At the bar 2 Right across aisle from bar 25c $1 Upper Level- 10 Two banks of 5, most are labeled "Top Award Pays" 6 New "red" consoles 3 New "red" uprights 3 New "red" uprights 5 Old "green" uprights 5 Old "green" uprights So that's 30 quarter and 10 dollar full pay AA machines. Not too bad for a Harrah's...

We made a quick trip to Harrah's this afternoon, just long enough to collect for coupons that were expiring. The upstairs kiosk that had JoB, AA, and Pick'em in both .25 and $1 is missing. The .25 slant tops in the same area were also gone but we found them, just moved across the room. They still had 9/6 JoB. The others may have been there somewhere, we didn't stay long.

As of Friday the 25 cent and dollar AAs along the wall (second floor) were still there and active. The half dozen machines in a kiosk on the other side of the room were still dark -- same as for the past couple weeks. Also still dark are the machines by the deli downstairs. Downstairs by the cashier's cage there is a bank of triple play quarters. One machine, and only one, has 9/6 JOB. The PickE'm at the deli are short pay (3OAK pay 4 instead of 5). The PickE'm upstairs are still full pay.
