Nov, 2004 $1,000,000 coin-in per year earns 7 Star status.
Aug, 2004 The 25c 9/6 DDB MG bank across from the Fantasea Reef is MIA. Downgraded.
May, 2004 Just got back from AC and bad news at Harrahs. The new $ 9/6 machines were being replaced today with bad pay quarters. The hoped for full pay bonus (from the last message) turned out to be the standard Harrahs 6/5 Bonus. The DBDJ quarters are still there. Got my Cashback and left...better to put your money in a cannon and shoot it out over the Bay than to play VP at Harrahs.
May, 2004 The new $ 9/6 JoB have resurfaced in the Diamond Cove area near the Cashier.

Apr, 2004 Harrahs: Still mostly a video poker wasteland with two (and maybe a third upcoming) exceptions. - The 3 old upright IGT 9/6 JOB machines were removed and in their place, new $1 IGT uprights were put. Much to my surprise, the 9/6 paytables were retained. - The DBDJ machines reported here are still in tact. - Finally, they were installing new IGT uprights just behind the 9/6 JOB against the wall. They were just programming them when I was there, but I think you may see dollar 8/5 Bonus on them. (From what I observed and what little I could get from the "suit" employee there.)
Dec, 2003 Gambling: There are 6 $1 triple plays, 4 in a corner by a $1 progressive bank and 2 in the Diamond area. These machines pay 6/5 for JOB, BP and Aces Bonus. I put in a $100 and played the aces and lost. Put in another $100, switched to BP and pulled 3 to a Royal on the second hand. It was downhill from there. Lost a few hundred on the 3 play. Played the short pay single line $1 JOB and Jokers progressive. I could not find the $1 9/6 JOB. I moved to the bank of $1 Multi-Strike near the escalator. Dinner Florentinos: We had a great dinner at Florentinos. My wife, daughter and mother in law had the filet minion and loved it. I had the stiffed chicken breast special which was also very good. The grilled shrimp appetizer was the best I've ever had. I thought the dessert of a raspberry tart with ice cream was fair. The dinner for 4, with bottle of wine ran 300+ with tip. Check-out: We put 27,000 through the machines at Harrahs. When we went to check out they had used my points for the room and used my remaining points to pick up roughly $40 from dinner. This was amazing to me. We used to be full RFB and there were times they picked up 1 or 2 airfares to AC. It will take an amazing offer including partial ownership to get us back to Harrahs (forget about Showboat) in AC
